100 Years of Movies in 100 Days – Day 82 – Terminator 2 (1991)

Another classic from my teen years! I ws originally planning on watching JFK but ran into that familiar issue of not having enough time to screen a three hour movie. So I watch a James Cameron movie instead. There’s logic in there somewhere.

I used to pretend to be like Arnold in this movie. Like people who hit me and I would do that sort of stiff stumble that he does and then shoot them a stoic look, pretending I couldn’t feel the pain. I’d pretend that I could see a target with numbers and stuff like the T-1000. I even wore the same kind of sunglasses. Yeah, I’m weird.

I still quote this movie on a regular basis. Well, maybe not the “I’ll be back,” or “Hasta la vista… bay-bee.” But more like lines. Like when John Connor says, “Did you call moi a dipshit?” Which leads me into tomorrow’s movie, which I will be posting extra early in the day, since I’m going to TRON:Night on the lot at Universal Studios and won’t be able to watch Day 83′s movie after work like I usually do. So what am I going to be watching at 6a. tomorrow? Why, Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs of course.
